QuitLock handles sensitive behavioral data. We keep data minimal, we never sell it, and the app works without an account.
Your quit profile (nicotine type, quit date, usage and cost), logged cravings, slips, daily check-ins, milestones and settings. By default all of this is stored only on your device. If you create an optional account, the same data is stored in your private database rows protected by row-level security, so only you can access them.
We never use your craving, slip or relapse data for advertising or ad targeting. We never sell your data. We never store passwords for third-party sites. Sensitive notes you write are never sent to analytics.
QuitLock is free because ads support the app. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process device identifiers and ad-interaction data under Google's privacy policy. On iOS we ask for App Tracking Transparency permission; if you decline, ads are non-personalized. Ads are never shown during craving support or relapse recovery, and your in-app behavioral data is never shared with ad networks.
Donations happen on an external Stripe payment page in your browser. We never see or store your card details; payments are handled entirely by Stripe under Stripe's privacy policy.
If you sign in, your email and app data are stored with our database provider (Supabase) to enable backup and sync. Sessions are stored encrypted on your device. You can use every core feature without an account.
Local data stays on your device until you delete it. Account data is kept until you delete your account. You can export all of your data or permanently delete your account and data at any time from Settings — deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
QuitLock is intended for people who use nicotine and is not directed at children. Do not use the app if you are under the age where you can legally consent to data processing in your country.
If we change this policy, we will update it here and adjust the date below. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
